Santa Fe Sustainable Neighborhoods Group

The SFSNG existed to brainstorm and design a mixed-use, mixed-income neighborhood development. The group also functioned to explore and disseminate new ideas around sustainability and to mutually support our efforts.

We met (roughly) monthly, and all ages were welcomed.

Previous meetings have focused on visioning around live/work, art studio and craftsman shop space, shared community facilities, neighborhood businesses and amenities.

Our group embraces singles/single parents/parents looking for a greater sense of community, Baby Boomers looking for a more creative, simpler lifestyle, artists looking for a more supportive environment, etc.

We hosted a series of workshops to develop new patterns of sustainable housing and neighborhood design.  Our second in the series, was

ARTIST HOUSING WORKSHOP

  • Explore artists’ needs for housing
  • clean and ‘messy’ workspaces
